The building has been painstakingly restored, retaining all the original features of its historical and artistic heritage, including the traditional Venetian terrazzo floors, the 18th-century gilt-wood window pelmets, and the ceilings with the original exposed beams. The owners of this property, the Gasparini family, originally came from the Orient. These Oriental influences made a distinct impression on the Venetian style, as can be seen in the marquetry of the wood ornamentation and the partitions in the lobby.
